The store is located on Clayton Street opposite the new Carling Academy music venue. We are only five minutes from Central Station and are easily accessible by car. The myth that the city centre is difficult to get into because of the Eldon Square re-development simply isn't true, come and see for yourself, but please do ring for directions if you're unsure. There are many metered parking bays behind the store around Charlotte Square, and larger car parks very close by (see map above). There is even a loading bay right outside the store to make picking up your purchase as easy as possible.
With over forty years of service with Richer Sounds (that's between us, not each!!), our help and advice is second to none. With a mixture of HD geeks, home cinema geeks and two-channel geeks, there will always be someone here with the answers to your questions. We are the High Definition, home cinema and hi-fi experts with over thirty flat screens on display, as well as fully wired HD, home cinema, hi-fi and 'multi-room' demonstration facilities for you to use (including a brand new demo room).

We can also offer a delivery and installation service if required, please ask for details. Also, don't forget, we will pay for your parking when you visit us. Whatever your needs, pop in and see us. No question is a silly question so fire away, we welcome every opportunity to be of help.

Dale, Store Manager Dale's a sport mad, (down the pub watching) local lad. Football, cricket, golf, darts, tiddlywinks, you name it! He's just taken up mountain biking in a bid to get fit, a hopeless effort, really, due to his love of pies.
Pete, Deputy Manager Pete enjoys nothing more than finding and listening to music he's never heard before, so working for Richer Sounds is like a dream. Imagine a place where people come all day long and tell you about this new band they've heard. Then imagine being paid to listen to it all day! Being a fan of all things musical, Pete is a dab-hand at knocking you up a system that will suit all ages, styles and budgets. So next time your in town and feel the urge, and if we've got 5 minutes, pop in for a cuppa and a listen. And in return, Pete will line you up with some excellent system building advice. Although if it's Westlife, be prepared, cos you'll discover the true meaning of 'Flying Without Wings' Straight out onto the street!
Ian, Senior Sales Assistant For a young lad, Ian has led quite a diverse life. Arriving in Newcastle a few years ago he completed an art degree, and as proof, check out his handy work in his self portrait. He calls this piece, ‘Me, how I see myself’ and is currently hung in The Louvre, next to that famous one of the woman who needs to cheer up. Ian then spent some time as a croupier in a famous casino, so don’t challenge him to a game of poker unless you wanna get cleaned out! He’s a bit of a film geek and loves arty, subtitled films. He used to think his CD collection was impressive till he met Barry. Ian is young and still learning but is more than happy to help (this lad is destined for big things).
Colin, Senior Sales Assistant With over 14 years of Richer Sounds experience, Colin is surely qualified to give you the right advice when making your enquiry or purchase. Still enjoying his DJ-ing and producing his own music in his little studio, and we mean little, put it this way when you're a strapping 6 foot 3 gadgey it's not the easiest task. Favourite TV programmes include X-Factor series 1,2,3 and Match Of The Day. "Cos they sound great in Dolby digital!". Hehe!
Michelle, Senior Sales Assistant Michelle has been with Richer Sounds over 7 years. So for good, solid, friendly advice come and speak to Michelle. No synthesizers in the music that Michelle likes, it's got to be gritty and real, with real guitars in it. With ready knowledge and a ready smile, Michelle will guide you through to the right purchase.
Dom, Sales Assistant A further addition to the long-haired lads of Richer Sounds. Dom has a wildly broad taste in music and listens to it all day long, so the chances are he's going to like something you like. He'll be more than willing to set up a demo for you: what could be better than your favourite music rolling out of some quality speakers and someone who appreciates your acoustic tastes? Already a big hit with the ladies due to his Geoff Goldblum-esque good looks, (think The Fly) TV hugger Dom's already fitting in well.

I’m sure you have seen one of these before. Decipher the stereograph and tell us what you see when you come down to visit us. (yes, it does work!) Good luck.
If it's raining cats and dogs, simply ask in-store for a free brolly!
